Spur Gears
Spur gears are one of the most used gears in the
industry. In spur gears, tooth profile is parallel to the rotation
axis. Some application examples are tower rotation of vinches and
industrial machinery |

Helical Gears
The tooth profile have an angle with rotation axis
in a helical gear. Helical gears are more silent and can carry more
load than spur gears. They are used in gearboxes of vehicles, gear
reducers and machinery. |

Herringbone Gears
Herringbone gears (also known as double helical
gears) have two helical gears with opposite angles placed in the
same body. They are generally used in rolling mills. |

Spline Shafts
Spline shafts are used to transfer rotational
motion for long distances lik 3 - 4 meters. They are generally used
in vehicles between shifting georbox and differential gearbox. |

Worm Gears
In worm gears a screw with parallel helical teeth
mates with a modified tooth profiled helical gear. The worm is
always the driving gear. This gear style will self-lock if power is
lost to the drive (worm). It doesn't work if the pinion is powered.
This is why worm gears are used in elevators. |

Planetary Gears
They are also known as epicyclic gears. An
internal gear, a small gear at the center of internal gear and
generally 3 gears between them are found in planetary gears. They
are generally used in construction machinery and wind turbines. |

Chain Sprockets
A sprocket is a gear or wheel with metal teeth
that meshes with a chain or track. They are used in some machinery
